Beloit, Wis. - On Saturday, the Beloit College Cross Country teams ran in Mequon, Wis. at the Ken Weidt Classic. The men ran an 8K while the women ran a 6K.
Men
Crossing the line first for the Buccaneers was
Sawyer Wall (Chicago, Ill.). Wall finished in 53rd place with a time of 31:44.1 Finishing right behind him in 54th was
Aiden Cortinas (Sycamore, Ill.) in 32:49.4. The final three Bucs crossed together in 66,67 and 68th.
Max Muszynski (Milwaukee, Wis.) crossed in 35:03.1,
Maximilian Martinez (Galesburg, Ill.) clocked in at 35:12.9 and rounding it out for Beloit was
Owen Eichfeld (Winnetka, Ill.) with a time of 36:44.5. As a team, the Buccaneers finished in 4th place.
Women
Following up their strong finish at the Rock River Invite, the Bucs looked to continue to run strong.
Simone De Montigny (Neenah, Wis.) placed the highest, beating her personal best with a time of 26:21.8.
Sophia Miller (Salem, Ore.) was the 2nd Buc to finish, clocking a run of 26:58.3.
Carter Browne (Hornell, N.Y.) finished in 46th with a time of 28:03.9. Just behind her was
Marianna Carus (Ottawa, Ill.) at 28:16.2. The next two Buccaneers finished in 61st and 62nd.
Meghan Koning (Mt. Prospect, Ill.) and
Devin Cuffy-Bethel (Nassau, Bahamas) came in 20 seconds apart at 31:05.2 and 31:25.7. Rounding out the Bucs was
Emeline Russell (Aberdeen, Wash.) at 32:26.5
The Buccaneers run again this weekend, September 16th in Wheaton, Ill. at the Gil Dodds Invitational.
