APPLETON, Wis. - This afternoon the Beloit College Cross Country teams competed at the 2024 Midwest Conference Championships this morning. This years championships were held at the Reid Municipal Golf Course, a course the Buccaneers ran earlier this season.
Junior
Simone De Montigny (Neenah, Wis.) led the way for the Beloit Women's team, running her way to 23rd with a time of 24:19.61. Following close behind her was Sophomore
Sophia Miller (Salem, Ore.). Miller toed the line in 25.42.32. Senior
Carter Browne (Hornell, N.Y.) closed out her final MWC Championships with a time of 26.13.99.
Freshman
Carly Carpenter (Sycamore, Ill.) led the final three Buccaneer runners when she crossed the line at 30.29.44.
Meghan Koning (Mt. Prospect, Ill.) finished her race at the 31:39.57 mark and
Emeline Russell (Aberdeen, Wash.) closed out the Beloit lineup at 32:04.08.
Freshman
Dylan Malmgren (Loves Park, Ill.) continued to lead the Beloit runners on the men's side. He crossed the line at 26:37.07, taking 21st place.
Kembre Daniel (28:04.26) and
Cooper Rathmann (Milwaukee, Wis.) (29:58.11) clocked in under thirty as well.
Sawyer Wall (Chicago, Ill.) and
Aiden Cortinas (Sycamore, Ill.) finished under thirty seconds apart at 30:02.03 and 30:28.29 respectively. Freshman
Cal Fox (Orfordville, Wis. ) posted a 31:44.07 in his first MWC Championship race.
Max Muszynski (Milwaukee, Wis.) crossed next for the Buccaneers at 32:12.77. Junior
Owen Eichfeld (Winnetka, Ill.) concluded his race with a time of 34:48.23.
Jake Fein (Florence, Mass) and
Kai Colbert (Castro Valley, Calif. ) marked the final Bucs across at 35:00.76 and 35:04.61
The Buccaneers will run next at the North Region Championships in Northfield, Minnesota on November, 16th.
