The Beloit College men's lacrosse team fell to Cornell College 20-2 on the road Wednesday night.
The high-powered Rams' offense proved to be too much for the Buccaneers to handle as Cornell tallied 47 shots including 34 on frame in the contest. Beloit registered 16 shots including 10 on net.
Turnovers were costly for the Bucs as Cornell's defense was stifling deep in their offensive zone holding Beloit to 18-30 on clear attempts.
Both of Beloit's goals in the game came in the second quarter. Less than 30 seconds into the period,
Adrian Camacho made good on a
Steven Soli pass besting the Rams' keeper on a man advantage for the Bucs' first goal. With 1:58 left before the intermission,
Jordan Rice posted Beloit's second goal.
Keeler Tardiff and
Eric Seo led Beloit with seven ground balls each. Seo registered the complete game in goal tallying 14 saves.
