Box Score BELOIT, Wis. - Beloit's men's lacrosse team lost to Marian University Tuesday night by a score of 16-2. The Sabres also out-shot the Buccaneers by a 51-24 margin.
Marian (9-6, 2-5 NACC) got off to a good start with five goals in the opening quarter. The Sabres would add five more goals in the second period, which also saw
Jordan Rice score the Bucs' first goal.
After trailing 10-1 at halftime, Beloit scored the first goal of the second half on a shot by
Emmet Morgan, with Rice being credited with the assist. Marian also scored one goal in the third quarter, before adding five more in the fourth to cap the scoring.
Serge Simard led Marian with five goals, while Erik Horman and Nate Htwe scored three apiece. Beloit Goal Keeper
Eric Seo played the entire game, making 13 saves, while Marian's Jackson Sweeney recorded 14 saves.
The Bucs will close out their 2023 season on Saturday when they'll host Edgewood College on what will be Senior Day. That game will begin at 3 p.m. at Strong Stadium in Beloit, Wis.
