MEQUON, Wis, - The Beloit College Cross Country teams faced a field of other Wisconsin Private Colleges this morning when they competed at the Wisconsin Private Championships hosted by Concordia Wisconsin.
The men were led by
Dylan Malmgren (Loves Park, Ill.) in 19th with a time of 28:37.3. Malmgren was the only Buccaneer in the top 20. The next Buc to cross the line was
Aiden Cortinas (Sycamore, Ill.), clocking in at 30:17.7. Coming in third for Beloit was
Sawyer Wall (Chicago, Ill.). Wall toed the line 31:02.7.
Separated by just 0.3 seconds,
Kembre Daniel wrapped up his race in 31:36.0. While
Cooper Rathmann (Milwaukee, Wis.) recorded a time of 31:36.3.
The next couple of Buccaneers finished in the 33rd minute mark.
Cal Fox (Orfordville, Wis. ) finishing in 33:23.2 and
Max Muszynski (Milwaukee, Wis.) in 33:30.3.
Owen Eichfeld (Winnetka, Ill.),
Kai Colbert (Castro Valley, Calif. ) and
Jake Fein (Florence, Mass) wrapped up the Buccaneer lineup. Eichfeld in 36:56., Colbert at 42:16.3 and Fein just behind at 42:16.4.
On the women's side,
Simone De Montigny (Neenah, Wis.) placed 22nd finishing in 25:03.3. About a minute behind her was Sophomore
Sophia Miller (Salem, Ore.), clocking in at 26:30.5. Senior
Carter Browne (Hornell, N.Y.) was the third and final Buccaneer to clock in under the thirty minute mark, toeing the line in 26:57.7.
Rounding out the lineup for the Bucs were
Carly Carpenter (Sycamore, Ill.) and
Meghan Koning (Mt. Prospect, Ill.). Carpenter's race concluded at the 31:11.1 mark while Koning's at the 31:50.6 mark.
The Buccaneers look ahead to the Midwest Conference Championships on November 2nd in Appleton, Wis. They will run at the Reid Municipal Golf Course for the second time this season.
