Four Women's Soccer Players Named to All-Conference Lists

BELOIT, Wis. - After wrapping up their careers last week, four Beloit College Women's Soccer players were named to the Midwest Conference All-Conference lists this morning.

Megan Thompson (Clarendon Hills, Ill.) earned First Team accolades for the second time in her career after leading the Bucs in scoring with a career-high eight goals this season. Thompson was named First Team in 2022 and Second Team a season ago.

Goal Keeper Maya Betzler (College Place, Wash.) earned her first All-Conference selection, landing the Second Team Goal Keeper spot. Betzler posted 130 saves this season, just seven behind the top spot. Her 6.84 saves per game was third in the MWC.

Natalie Ortiz (Crystal Lake, Ill.) made the list for the second time in her career and the first time since the 2021 season. Ortiz led the Buccaneers with four assists this season, after missing most of last season due to injury.

Lastly, defender Lauryn Volza (Albuquerque, N.M.) also earned her second 2nd team nomination and first since the 2021 season. Volza was an anchor for the Bucs back line this season, her speed and toughness helping slow down the opponents attack.
