Box Score BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Men's Lacrosse hosted the Edgewood College Eagles this afternoon in their second conference game in three days. Still searching for their first NACC win, the Buccaneers (2-6, 0-2 NACC) got on the board first against the Eagles (5-7, 1-1 NACC) but ultimately succumbed to a 15-4 loss.Â
Less than one minute into the game,
Liam Walker (Elmhurst, Ill.) gave the Bucs a 1-0 lead when he buried a shot off a pass from
Ethan Scutchfield (Lexington, Ky.). The lead didn't last long however, Edgewood rattled off four unanswered, taking a 4-1 lead with just over five minutes left in the first quarter.
Ryder Story (Salem, Ore.) cut the Eagles' lead to two with 3:23 left when he fired one passed the visiting keeper. It was all the Eagles in the second quarter, scoring five straight to build their lead to seven, 9-2. It was once again Story who gave Beloit another goal. His second goal of the game came at the 2:02 mark of the third to make it 10-3. Beloit's fourth goal of the game came in the fourth quarter off the stick of
Jordan Rice (Riverdale, Ill.).Â
Beloit hits the road for their next NACC match up. The Buccaneers head to Milwaukee on Tuesday for a game against the Raiders of MSOE. The start time for that game is set for 4 pm.Â
