BELOIT, Wis. The Midwest Conference league office released the 2025 coaches' poll yesterday afternoon. Monmouth College ranked first among all teams, receiving a total of six first-place votes and 78 total points.
The Buccaneers gathered 15 points, putting them in ninth. They will look to build this season, under the tutelage of first-year head coach
Kyle Langhoff. Langhoff has been on staff with the Bucs since the 2019 season as the associate head coach, defensive coordinator, and special teams coordinator.
"We are excited as a new staff to work with this team and continue to make this program the best it can be," stated Langhoff. "We will be young and a bit inexperienced to start the season, but we hope to see all of our guys grow and get better every day throughout the season."
The Buccaneer offensive will be led by first-year offensive coordinator Brody Pogue. Pogue will have a new QB1 to work with after the graduation of
Jacob Shafer. Jacob Torres has served as a back up over his three years.
On the opposite side of the ball, defensive coordinator,
Joe Butz will be tasked with leading a defense that doesn't feature
Christopher Croft Jr. and
Gavin Thorpe, some of the best Buccaneer defenders in recent history.
Beloit kicks off the 2025 season against the Rockford University Regents in the Battle of the Rock River on September 6th. Kick off from Sam Greeley Field in Rockford is set for 1:00 pm.
