Whether rattling teeth on the football field or caring for those same teeth behind a dentist’s chair, Ted Noakes saw the two tasks as very similar – a goal is set and you work hard to achieve that goal.  Noakes did, and continues to do, just that.  Noakes helped lead the Buccaneers to back-to-back Midwest Conference North Division Championships in 1991 and 1992 while being named First-Team All-MWC in both seasons.  He was the conference Defensive Most Valuable Player following his senior campaign and topped that when he was named to the Champion U.S.A Division III All-American Second Team.  During his senior season, Noakes set team records for solo tackles (103) and defensive team points (186).  Those two records continue to be the benchmark for Buccaneer defensive players.  His two-year dominance at his position didn’t stop with the All-American and Midwest Conference honors.  He was also named the Beloit College Hitter of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in both 1991 and 1992.  His career was capped in the end-of-year Athletic Awards Banquet in 1993, when he won the Dawson Award for outstanding student-athlete as well as being a Beloit College Blanket recipient.  He resides in his hometown of Rockford, Illinois, where he is a D.M.D. at Camelot Endodontics, Ltd.
