Hall of Honor
Matt Krill did as much as he could for the Buccaneer Football team defensively during his four-season career, which made him more than deserving of the honors that came his way. A three-time First Team All-MWC defensive tackle, he finished his career with 236 tackles and 16 sacks. He was the team Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore and junior and the co-MVP his senior season, also earning the Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year honor and being named an Honorable Mention All-American. A two-season captain who started on both the defensive and offensive line as a senior, he helped the Bucs to a 25-13 record during his career, including a 19-9 mark in MWC play. After graduation Krill was an assistant coach at Augustana College for two seasons. He then moved in to the roofing and construction business, where he has worked for 13 years. An accomplished fly fisherman, he resides in the Portland, Oregon area.
