Hall of Honor
Speed and footwork were the formula for Madison, Wisconsin native Michael Findley becoming one the best goal scorers Beloit Men’s Soccer has ever seen. “Mike's successes weren't solely individual. Mike was scoring all these goals during a four-year period when we were one of the best teams in the league.” Said former Beloit coach Tim Schmiechen “Three of the four years we finished in the top four making our conference tournament and in 2006 we won the Midwest Conference Championship.” Findley made an immediate impact in the Buccaneers Men’s Soccer program when he joined. In his first season, he garnered Midwest Conference First team honors as well as the Golden Boot Award as the team’s leading scorer. His 13 goals that season placed him tied for third all-time. Findley netted 13 goals in 2006 as well and currently sits tied for 5th all-time in that category. He would go on to earn another MWC First team selection as well as a second team selection over his next three seasons. At the conclusion of his career, he had recorded 39 goals for the top spot in program history, he now shares that spot. Along with being a prolific goal scorer, he tallied 17 career assists, leading to 95 career points. Which places him at second all-time in program history. He concluded his illustrious career with a Men’s Soccer All-Region Selection in 2006, one of eleven Buccaneers to have ever earned the honor.
