Figuring out a way to accomplish something seemingly insurmountable started for Mike Paulmeier at age two when he figured out how to scale a basement railing in his home and climb to its heights, just like Superman.  At Beloit College, Paulmeier had a knack for avoiding the blocks of often bigger offensive lineman from his defensive tackle position for the Buccaneer Football team.  He was, to quote numerous coaches and teammates, “quicker, smarter and more relentless” than the player on the other side.  Brains over brawn.  Paulmeier used every technique he knew on the way to three straight First Team All-Conference honors for the three-time Northern Division Champion Bucs.  In his never-give-in wake was the Beloit record for most career sacks (31) that still stands, including 12 during his senior season.  After graduation with a degree in Literary Studies, he had a short stint as an elementary school teacher before deciding to follow his passion in fitness training.  In 2006 he opened Focused Fitness Elite Personal Training in Hilton Head, South Carolina, where he has worked with everyone from major league baseball players to professional golfers and everyone in between.
