Hall of Honor
Height isn’t necessarily a must to be a great rebounder. But there’s no doubt it helps. For Beloit College, 6’4 was more than tall enough to propel Grant to the top of the chart in career rebounding for the Buccaneers. He established the new record in the final game of his collegiate career and finished with 733. But he wasn’t just a rebounder, still standing sixth on the all-time scoring list with 1,296 points. A three-time All-Midwest Conference performer and three-time team MVP, he was the MWC’s Player of the Year in 2001, just the second Buccaneer to earn that honor, and also earned All-District laurels. After graduation, he was a Child Welfare Specialist for the Department of Children & Family Services in Chicago and was also a retail manager. Currently, with a desire to soon get into coaching, he is in clinical research for Pfizer, doing research on drugs before they reach the market.
