Hall of Honor
Marie Mullooly wasn’t born basketball crazy. She actually avoided the sport in grade school. Fortunately for Beloit College, she changed her thinking. She brought her desire to play along with a strong and positive self image to Beloit from nearby Clinton, Wisconsin, where as a player for the Buccaneer Women’s Basketball team, Mullooly helped lead the program through four amazing seasons. A four-time letterwinner, she earned All-Midwest Conference recognition in her last three seasons, including First Team as a sophomore and senior. She helped lead the team to a 75-25 overall record during those four seasons with two MWC Championships and three straight NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. She still stands as the #6 all-time scorer with 1,176 points and in blocked shots with 243. She also ranks in the top three in career field goals and rebounds. The MWC Player of the Year as a senior, she finished her career with All-American recognition on the Kodak Division III team. Graduating with a Psychology degree, she continues to inspire today as a teacher in the Lake Zurich, Illinois, School District.
